QA Manager / Validator
Remote Role- Anywhere in the UK
£55,000 per annum + Benefits
An industry respected National Consultancy is looking for a remote QA Manager/ Validator to join their growing team. The Quality Assurance managers provide a multifaceted service of determining and maintaining in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications to ensure high standards are delivered and to provide guidance and training and support consultants to produce flawless technical reports.
Responsibilities
- Visiting sites on a quarterly basis to ensure insight and advice are current and support business and team needs
- Monitoring team and individuals’ performance against in house and client KPIs
- Determining training needs for individuals including refresher training as necessary
- Chairing quarterly QA team meetings
- Provide high quality guidance to internal clients
- Keep abreast of current legislation, relevant national and international standards and guidelines and technical developments within the relevant field
- To respond to requests for client reports
- Be exemplar in team and relationship building
- Contribute to delivery of projects on time and to budget; to manage resources in the delivery of the reports
- To follow all financial procedures
- Contribute to a rolling forecast to provide visibility of team efficacy and future workload
- Monitor individual utilisation versus targets and actively manage optimal utilisation
- Delivery against Key personal and divisional KPIs
- Support junior members of staff in delivery of consultancy services and ensure their compliance with site safety practices where site work is undertaken
- Ensure full implementation and use of the competency framework
Experience
- Relevant health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma, NCRQ
- BAFE SP205 understanding
- NEBOSH Fire certificate or advanced FPA Level 3 Fire Risk Assessor or equivalent
- NAFRAR Tier 3 fire risk assessor preferable
- Membership or willingness to pursue membership of IOSH, IFSM, IFE, IIRSM
- Working experience in a H&S, Fire role operating under an established Health, Safety and Fire Management System
- Liaison with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Working knowledge of UK HSF regulations and experience in practical implementation
- Operational site experience or willingness to pursue site experience
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Positive approach to the challenges of change and see change as an opportunity
- Ability to prioritise and schedule objectives to optimise time, cost and quality
- Strives to improve performance and uses innovative methods to get there Excellent communication skills
