Search People are working for a large property management organisation that have an exciting parental leave contract role for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor. The role will be supporting the building and facilities teams across their commercial and residential clients. It will be home based with travel across client sites.
The Role
- Provide health and safety support and advice on building safety and compliance to Facilities, Building Managers and onsite staff.
- Promoting a safety culture and champion improvements.
- Conduct audits in accordance to ISO 45001 Management Audit schedule , ensuring working practices are safe and statutory compliance comply with legislation.
- Applying best practice safety solutions
- Conducting appropriate risk assessments and the necessary control systems are employed and adequately recorded.
- Supporting the investigation and reporting of incidents and accidents ensuring control systems are recorded.
- Supporting the investigation and reporting of incidents and accidents.
- Governance of both internal and external audits Certification bodies to maintain the standards required.
- Keeping up to date on current and future legislation and guidance internal projects
Knowledge, Experience and qualifications required:
- Nebosh General Certification.
- Grad or Tech IOSH
- Previous Facilities or Property Management experience.
- working knowledge of accident reporting and ability to conduct incident and accident investigations using the recognised methodology and provide advice on preventive actions to address root cause.
- A full and current UK Driving Licence.
- Able to undertake audits to ISO 45001 standards.
- Understanding of risk assessment and a practical approach to risk management.
- Self motivated individual with strong communication skills and commercial acumen.
